Page 1 of 5 Pages (52 Items)
William Morris tapestries were woven by Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. (1861-1875) and its successor Morris & Co. (1875-1940). These furnishings and decorative arts manufacturers and retailers were founded by the Pre-Raphaelite artist and designer William Morris. The firm's medieval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts had a profound influence on the decoration of churches and houses into the early 20th century. Their Arts and Crafts tapestry wall hangings are timeless and include Edward Burne-Jones tapestry designs and, of course, the Tree of Life tapestry by William Morris.
All these tapestries are now woven in France and Belgium and are lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. Click on the images below to see a larger photo, description, sizes and prices.
